Creamy Maple "caramel" Apple Nachos

Fall is here and apples are aplenty! This has become my easy peesy nighttime snack for the last few days...even better - it has a hit of good fiber, protein and fat - a good dose of macro-nutrients all in one!


C'mon - healthy AND delisciousness, who can resist!!


Here is what you need for the Heatlhy Tahini Caramel Sauce:


Only 4 simple ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup Maple syrup

  • 3/4 cup Unhulled tahini

  • 1/4 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

A dairy free sauce perfect for apples, ice cream, and so much more!


Add all ingredients to a bowl and stir! depending on the consistency, add a few tablespoons of hot water to get to the desired drizzle!


All the ways to delight in this magic sauce....

  • Lattes – imagine THIS as the sweetener for your afternoon pick-me-up!

  • Apples – dip it , drizzle it...devour!

  • Ice cream – a nice caramel swirl couldn’t hurt?

  • Swirled into yogurt – aka the new best snack!

  • a dollop in your next smoothie

  • As a syrup for pancakes, waffles, or french toast – good with sautéed apples too!

  • Cinnamon rolls – Add a drizzle over that cream cheese frosting a little extra.

Store leftover caramel in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
